Good White & Others Noisespost a reply
Noise itself cannot be tuned, you can layer noise though to sound like it is tuned. For example, on a synth, choose a noise Osc (oscillator) and a saw osc. Play a few notes on your keyboard (if you have one) or input a few notes into the piano roll/editor, so you can hear the changes. Turn the noise down until it sits on top of the saw nicely. It should sound like its in tune with the saw but it isnt. You will of course have to shape it a little with a filter to cut out the harsh frequencies and the inaudible (ie, high and low frequencies).
Man Marty you're fuken pro
thanks for the nice lessons you give us here !
Ok man, i have a sound generator in Pro Tools so i default use it, but if it's better with saw osc... I'll test soon !
Thanks for reply
It does not have to be layered with a saw, it can be layered with any shape (Sine, Triangle, Square etc etc...) the noise plus saw in previous post was just for example. The low saw plus noise is very now sounding though but that doesn't mean you can throw in a square shape too! lol
You should try it with a filter envelope too, short decay low sustain then automate the sustain to open up fully. If you would like to know more on this technique just ask because it was just a brief outline! lol
Glad i could help!

Hie guy,
In many many and many productions, we can heard some noise like the white noise, but have you got some technics to tune it?
For example i'm on a new project and i want a noise very light, sweet like the white noise in the Sebastien Leger - The White Island
If we can share our experience about it...
